We are shocked by Agradaa’s new sentences – Ghanaians Fume

The news of the reduction of the prison sentence of Evangelist Patricia Asiedu Koranteng, popularly known as Agradaa from 15 years to 1 year, has left many Ghanaians in shock

The surprising news came when the Amasaman High Court presided over by His Lordship Justice Solomon Oppong Twum overturned the verdict by the trial court chaired by Her Honour Evelyn Asamoah after an appeal by Mama Pat and her lawyer.

His Lordship Justice Solomon Oppong Twum explained that the court affirmed the judgment of the trial court, but he thought that the trial judge did not take into consideration the mitigating factors.

In response to that, an interview was conducted with some Ghanaians on how they received the news of the new sentence term of Agradaa after her appeal.

Some see the verdict by the court as very unfair to Ghanaians, given all the numerous scams she has played on some people. Calling for another round of verdict as this one-year term would motivate her more instead of refraining from her sins.

On the other hand, others believe the judgment by the court is fair as Agradaa did not ask anyone to bring their own, but due to their own greediness, they were scammed by her.
