Suame MP Donates 500 desks and a motorbike to Suame Technical Institute

Hon Lawyer John Kofi Darko, the Member of Parliament for the Suame Constituency, has donated 500 desks and a motorbike to the Suame Technical Institute to boost teaching and learning

In an interview with the media, he said the challenges of the school’s shortage of desks to accommodate students were laid before him when he visited the school.

Lawyer John Kofi Darko continues that, another challenge of the school was their inability to go rounds to monitor the activities of students sent to industries for attachments on the practical aspect, which persuaded him to donate a motorbike to the school for their monitoring movement.

He called on the authorities of the school to ensure proper management of the items given for their longevity.

The Member of Parliament for the Suame Constituency urged the students to focus on everything being taught in school and in the field as that could prepare them for a brighter future without solely relying on the government for employment.

The Principal of Suame Technical Institute, Mr Ansuma Nurudeen, expressed his profound gratitude to the MP for the item given to the school as it relieved them from the stress they go through especially during the admission year.

He further added that the shortage of desks and access to monitoring the students’ activities in industries was a worry to them as students have to sit in pairs, but with these items given, it would accommodate students.
