Onaa and Amangoase Community in Juaben Municipality Get First-Ever Public Schools

The Government, through the Juaben Municipal Assembly, has awarded contracts for the construction of public school infrastructure in the Onaa and Amangoase communities, marking the first time both areas are benefiting from government-funded schools.

The projects include a two-unit Kindergarten block at Onaa and a six-unit classroom block at Amangoase, aimed at improving access to basic education and reducing the burden on parents and pupils who previously had to travel long distances to attend school.

Speaking on the projects, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Juaben, Hon. Eunice Ohenewaa Ansu, said the initiative forms part of the government’s broader agenda to extend quality education to all communities, especially underserved areas.

According to her, the projects are expected to be completed within six months, and when finished, they will significantly enhance teaching and learning in the two communities.

The contracts for both projects have been awarded to Amoh Poku Bright of Red-Orange Limited, who is responsible for executing the works. The contractor has assured the Assembly and residents of quality workmanship and timely completion in line with approved standards.

Hon. Eunice Ohenewaa Ansu further noted that the government remains committed to investing in education infrastructure as a key driver of development, stressing that no community will be left behind in the quest to provide equal educational opportunities for all children.
