NPP Need a Bold and Visionary Leader for 2028 General Elections – Dr. Bryan Acheampong

Dr. Bryan Acheampong, a flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party, has called on delegates of the Party to support bold, experienced, and visionary leadership as the party prepares for its internal primaries ahead of the 2028 general elections.
According to him, the NPP’s ability to break the cycle of alternation in government and secure victory in 2028 will depend largely on the kind of leader it presents to the Ghanaian electorate.

He made the statement during a joint meeting with party delegates from the Bekwai, Odotobri, Bosomtwe, and Bosome Freho constituencies, held at Bekwai in the Ashanti Region.
Dr Bryan Acheampong further stressed that the party must be strategic and forward-looking in its choices, adding that the 2028 elections will require a leader with courage, competence, and a clear understanding of Ghana’s evolving political and economic challenges.

“The NPP needs a bold leader who can unite the party, inspire confidence among Ghanaians, and present practical solutions to the issues confronting our nation,” he stated.
The Member of Parliament for Abetifi Constituency noted that party unity, discipline, and grassroots engagement will be critical in the build-up to the primaries, urging delegates to place the broader interest of the party and the country above personal considerations.

Dr. Acheampong also commended the delegates for their continuous commitment to the party, describing them as the backbone of the NPP’s electoral machinery. He encouraged them to remain active and vigilant as the party enters a crucial phase of its political journey.
The meeting formed part of ongoing engagements with party stakeholders as the NPP positions itself for its internal contests and the 2028 general elections.
