Hon. Lawyer Kofi Obiri Yeboah urged the public to do away with the perception most have about prisoners since most sentences are an act to reform them to be better people for the country and not as a punishment as many see it to bvoice.

He further called on the government to offer a presidential pardon or amnesty to inmates with stealing offences, or better still, engage these inmates in community labour rather than sentencing them to Prison.

The MP for Subin Constituency emphasised that he will collaborate with the office of the Attorney General and ensure that Kumasi Central Prison gets amnesty whenever the need arises.
