Amokrom residents lament bitterly about the poor state of their classroom blocks

Residents of Amokrom in the Ahafo Ano South East district of the Ashanti region have raised concerns about the deplorable condition of the JHS classroom blocks and teachers’ bungalow posing a threat to the lives of students in the community.

According to them, several appeals were made to the former MP, Hon. Francis Manu Adabor concerning the state of the classroom blocks, but to no avail.

They stressed that the other three classroom blocks contain pupils from Kindergarten to primary six making it unbearable and affecting teaching and learning.

The residents continue that the situation has worsened to the extent that teachers posted to the community have left, leaving only four of them, as they are also faced with accommodation challenges.

“We are calling on authorities to come to the aid of the community by providing these essential needs to help improve teaching and learning in the area” they lamented.
