All Deplorable Roads will be fixed – MP assures farmers and residents in Ahafo Ano South East Constituency
The Member of Parliament for Ahafo Ano South East, Hon. Yakubu Mohammed has assured farmers in his constituency to have faith in the NDC government as every promise made regarding their deplorable road network would be fulfilled.
Speaking at the 41st farmers’ day celebration at Biemso no. 2 on the theme “Feed Ghana, Eat Ghana and Secure the Future,” he commended farmers in his constituency for their contribution towards the development of the district and the nation as a whole.
He continues that, despite the numerous efforts by these farmers, there are some challenges they encountered in the course of their services to the motherland, one of which is their road network.
Hon. Yakubu Mohammed explained that the poor nature of roads in his constituency is a source of worry to him, and he has made a move on that and has all the assurance that the district will soon see changes in their roads.
The Member of Parliament for Ahafo Ano South East urged farmers in the constituency to keep their trust in him, and the NDC government, led by President Mahama, as promised, would deliver on their promises on their roads.
The District Chief Executive of Ahafo Ano South East, Hon Ibrahim Yamba Nelson Issaka called on the youth to engage themselves in agricultural activities since that would guarantee them a good future rather than investing their youthfulness in illegal mining for quick money.
He said it is sad that the youth of today think about what they will gain now instead of the future and assured that the assembly will do its best to fight illegal mining in the district.
The District Best Farmer for 2025, Mr Osei Kwabena, encourages the youth not to see agriculture as a punishment but a business of success, which he urged them to fully invest themselves in for more future benefits.
