The Member of Parliament for Suame Constituency, Hon Lawyer John Darko has donated Gh100,000.00 to the fire victims of the Suame Post Office market to start up with something as they await the reconstruction of the market.

According to him, it is very sad for these market traders to lose everything they have in this fire disaster as the trading in the market was their source of livelihood for their families.

Hon Lawyer John Darko continues that, although properties were lost through the fire, the most important part is not losing a single soul during the fire outbreak, which is a sign of hope for these traders.

He stressed that he is in contact with Suame MCE and would also present the issue before the Ministry of Local Government to ensure the early construction of the market without any delay.

The Member of Parliament for the Suame Constituency called on the traders to exercise calmness as he will do everything in his power to ensure the market construction is complete and shared among the traders to continue their normal trading business.

Hon Lawyer John Darko emphasised that he will work with the assembly to relocate the traders for the time being while they work towards the reconstruction of the market.

He made this statement during his visit to the market to witness the damage caused by the fire and also use the chance to console the traders on their lose.

In an interview with some of the traders, they expressed their gratitude to the MP for grieving with them in this difficult moment of their lives.

Urging other leaders to also support them in whatever way they can as their trading business in the market was their only source of living for them and their families.
